At the foot of the Alps...on the border to Austria and at the center of Western Europe lies the pristine mountain region of Bavaria, Germany.
Bavaria boasts some of the most pristine outdoor trails in the world with Mountain Biking ranking second to Skiing as one of the most beloved sports of the region.
Just one hour outside of Munich, the outdoor paradise of Garmisch-Partenkirken and the surrounding area has Mountain Bike trails equivalent to Yosemite and Yellowstone and is known as Mountain Bike Heaven. Trails as wide as fire roads and as narrow as footpaths abound throughout the area and make for an exciting once in a lifetime experience for Mountain Bikers of all skill levels. You will find yourself charmed by the Old World Alpine forest where traditions are centuries old and the people live close to the land.
• You will venture to mountain huts where there will be food and grog waiting ~ the beer is also among the best in the World!
• You will stay in B&B's and mountain huts geared for groups.
• You will be refreshed and rejuvenated when you dive into the clear blue waters of the Eibsee glacier lake.
• You will bike 4 hours in Karwendal National Park through the forest and discover old Roman ruins.
• You will also have the opportunity to join local guide company, Hydroalpin, for extra-curricular Adventure activities like canyoning and rock climbing.

May - June is known to be the best time to visit as the weather is just changing from Spring to Summer. Green forests and green meadows will be your landscape with mountain fresh rivers and streams flowing through.
Your Guide - Don Dauphinais is an experienced Mountain Bike racer and enthusiast from Flagstaff Arizona, USA. Don will guide intermediate to advanced level Mountain Bikers for a week long tour in the Alps of Bavaria on trips ranging from 35-50 miles per day.
