Sacred Geometry Squares and the Golden Mean with Jain from Australia Over the past 25 years, author and teacher JAIN (he only needs one name) has achieved Mastery in disciplines of Ancient Knowledge that have been held secret, or hidden for thousands of years. Jain is one of the very few people in the world to have achieved Mastery in multiple disciplines of Ancient Knowledge. His presentation is lively, whimsical and filled with entertaining fun and magic. His work has produced 8 amazing books, beautifully handwritten in calligraphy with spectacular examples of Atomic Art. A humble, spiritual and fascinating presenter. Jain first began teaching mathematics visually 20 years ago when working with dyslexic children, developing the concept of "Remedial mathematics". He is convinced not everyone learns their mathematics by left-brain, rote learning, "western left brain- masculine ways". You can learn through visual, right-brain, feminine based universal language of pictures and symbols. He has awakened many people to start questioning all the missing gaps and insufficiencies in the current mathematics curriculum and the way we teach our children.
A long time meditator, Jain has always been drawn to the spiritual and mystical, he is fascinated by numbers and shapes. He has enjoyed a lifetime involvement with the Fibonacci Sequence and the 5 Platonic Solids which taps into the highly visual hemisphere of the Right Brain. His work with Vedic Mathematics, a 2,500 year old Indian system of Mental, One-Line Arithmetic... is to empower the student so that they can perform mental calculations, in most cases... quicker than using a calculator!
He has authored 8 mandala, coloring-in books on Magic Squares that converts Mathematics into Atomic Art, surprising many nuclear scientists with his crystalline creations. His travelling school show: "Mathemagics", is the only one of its kind and helps restore and enhance the inherent beauty in mathematics, by teaching it via theatre, with magicians and Alice-in-Wonderland type characters that appear as walking Books of Life, etc.
In 1995, Jain taught Magic Square Art-forms to a conference of 100 math teachers at the Southern Cross University in Australia. He has been guest speaker at school Math Camps, many Public Schools, Catholic Schools, Rudolf Steiner and Montessori Schools who have employed him to rekindle the beauty of mathematics. He has also presented at the International Feng Shui and Sacred geometry in California 2004.
Jain loves to present his huge body of work and inspires people through his workshops and presentations. He also continues his research into Sacred Geometry, Magic Squares, Platonic Solids, Fibonacci Sequences and their relationship with various atomic structures.
Topics included in his books for sale at these seminars • Magic Squares and their Atomic Artforms.• The Vedic Square and it's Digital Sums. • The Divine PHI Proportion or The Living Mathematics of Nature. • The 5 Platonic Solids and The 13 Archimedean Solids. • Pythagorean Mystery School. • Vedic Mathematics.
He works with Gifted and Talented children and lectures at Maths Camps, Universities and Maths Conferences. He is currently writing a series of 4 books for the Australian Curriculum on Vedic Mathematics. As an Authorized School Performer of a Travelling Show called "Mathemagics", Jain has taught thousands of children and adults in Australia, the wonder of the pure mathematical principles relating to Atomic Art and Discovery. Some of Jain work is inspired by Shankacharaya of Puri a.k.a. Bharati Krisna Tirthaji's (1884-1960) now famous book 'Vedic Mathematics' which has spawned a 1,000 websites! Shankacharaya's chief and current disciple is Maharishi Mahesh Yogi of Transcendental Meditation fame who's spiritual school is churning out child geniuses like the 'Rain Man'. Today, in schools where Maharishi's Transcendental Mediatation technique are used students perform remarkably well academically, viewing Mathematics as a Universal Language and therefore often winning the highest competitive prizes in mathematics. Jain offers Creative and Multicultural Mathematics whose roots stem from Islam, India, Egypt and other cultures. He relates how mathematics can be Inter-Subjectal and may cross Key Learning Areas such as Maths as Art and Maths as Science. For more information see Jain's website at www.jainmathemagics.com |
